This Privacy Policy explains how Scout ("Scout", "we", "us"), operated by FastApply, Inc., collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Scout mobile app and website.
Information we collect
- Account information, your name, email, and authentication details.
- Resume and profile data, the resume, work history, and job preferences you provide so Scout can match and apply to jobs.
- Application data, records of the jobs you apply to and the tailored documents generated for them.
- Usage data, device and analytics information used to operate and improve the service.
How we use your information
- To find jobs that match your resume and submit applications you approve.
- To generate tailored resumes and cover letters for each application.
- To operate, secure, and improve Scout, and to provide support.
How we share information
We submit your application materials to the employers and job platforms you choose to apply to. We use service providers, including our automation partner (the FastApply engine), infrastructure providers, and the configured resume-analysis provider (OpenAI or Anthropic), under agreements that protect your data. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention and your rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time. To delete your account and associated data, see our account deletion page. Depending on your location, you may have rights under the GDPR or CCPA, including access, correction, and deletion.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
